William Peter Moseley was born on April 27th, 1987 in Gloucestershire, England (an hour and a half west of London). His parents are Peter and Julie Moseley. He has a sister, Daisy (16) and a brother, Ben (13). His dad is a cinematographer so obviously William hasn’t waited long before following his footsteps. Acting has been all he's ever wanted to do since primary school.
William's talents were first noticed by the industry when Pippa Hall, a casting director for the TV film Cider With Rosie, visited schools in the Stroud area. The Sheepscombe pupil was unfortunately at the wrong age to play Laurie Lee, but Ms Hall mentioned him in a letter to teachers. William’s mother says : "This letter was passed on to his family and Pippa Hall contacted an acting agency and William began attending auditions for various minor roles."
Roles in numerous school plays and musicals followed, but the large slice of luck all actors need came when Ms Hall was made casting director of The Chronicles of Narnia. She remembered William and suggested he audition for the role of Peter. The rest is history.
Despite the potentially soul-destroying rounds of publicity, he is still very enthusiastic about acting, even finding time to praise the process of filming against a blue screen which allows the computer generated characters to be added. William plans to keep acting if possible. "If you love something, why stop doing it?" he said. "I'm reading lots of scripts and obviously there's the next film coming up, which might happen as well. I'm just waiting to see what grabs me."
He’s currently studying at Downfield Sixth Form in Stroud, Gloucestershire where he appears to be very grounded, thanks to a tight family unit and good friends.
